Scholarship Committee of the Mission Viejo Activities Committee. Recipients are
selected without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability, or

awarded is dependent on the number of applications received. Awards are $1000
annually and may be used for undergraduate or technical school study only.

planning to enroll for the first time in a full-time course of study at an

2004 or a technical/trade school certificate program.

evaluated on the information supplied, they are advised to answer every question
as completely as possible.

Recipient
Selection

Scholarship recipients are selected on
the basis of community service, academic record, potential to succeed,
leadership and participation in school, work experience, statement of
educational and career goals, unusual personal or family circumstances, an
outside appraisal, and a personal interview.

All applicants will be notified
in April.

Not all applicants to the program
will be selected as recipients.
Payment of
Awards
Renewal of
Award
-
Mission Viejo Activities Committee
scholarships are potentially renewable for an additional three years or until a
Bachelor's Degree is earned, whichever comes first. Renewal is contingent upon
academic performance in a full-time course of study, continued community service
and continuation of the program by the Mission Viejo Activities Committee. A
new application must be submitted each year with documentation.
Obligations
-
Recipients have no obligation to the
Mission Viejo Activities Committee. They are, however, required to supply MVAC
with current transcripts and to notify MVAC of any changes of address, school
